Introducing Cote & Birch

All great stories start with 'once upon a time," right? Well, I suppose this one does, too.

Once upon a time, Sean Cote and Michelle Birch got married... and they decided to keep their own last names. Sean's sister said something like, "Cote & Birch, that sounds like a cool name for a company." It does sound pretty good (Cote is pronounced like Kody). We joked that maybe one day we'd have some kind of business and call it - yep, you guessed it - Cote & Birch. We dreamt that in our retirement (or semi-retirement), we could spend our days making cool stuff that makes people happy.

While I was designing a fun logo for our make-believe business, Sean was thinking more seriously about it. He built a great workshop in our garage, prototyped some planters, and we showed them around a bit. They are a hit! You can guess the rest... here we are, with our small local business, making cool stuff that makes people happy.

Sean builds all the stuff. I help behind the scenes. We'll continue expanding our collections and we hope you'll keep coming around to check them out!
